PLAYER REPORT

Thomas Hays is a 2027 1B/OF/RHP, multi-sport athlete with a 5-11 189 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Bishop Miege High School. Lettered Varsity as a Freshman. Medium, square shouldered frame with a high waist and long limbs, some present strength with additional room to fill throughout. Primary first baseman who can double as an outfielder. In the infield he fields the ball out front, with a short arm action in back, can continue to incorporate additional footwork into actions, can lower slot on throws to second base when needed. In the outfield can incorporate long arm action, utilizes a big pro hop working into release, will continue to refine overall balance in release. Left handed pitcher with drop and drive mechanics through lower half, pitching to contact and worked both sides well while throwing strikes, topped out at 70 mph, remains on line down the mound; Right-handed hitter, begins with great strength, good balance, and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; rotational swing with a short and compact stroke through the zone and finish of swing. Shows strength off of the barrel when squared up and working on a linear path, comfort working to pull side. Very good student.
